Best selection of Franconian beers in the whole city. Pub has a cozy atmosphere, but would need urgently a renovation (the back of the pub, I do not think so comfortable front). Serving are students, but they were fast and friendly.

Even as a group a very amusing place to have fun and tip a few beers.

Must join the previous speaker. I had many great evenings in the back house, but for several weeks only negative experiences. The waiters hang out with their friends and you will not be served. All other guests sitting around one and not belonging to the narrow circle also look very annoyed. A pity, a really great pub, but if you are no longer served the whole thing is no fun.

The selection of beer is great. But the staff really needs to be cut back. One had the feeling that some guests were preferred due to personal relationships. Too bad a great store.

One of my favourite spots around Erlangen. The selection of beers is unusually extensive. Definitely worth an evening.

Recommended for beer lovers who would like to taste regional beers. The taste of the "back house blacks" unfortunately depends very much on who mixes. Mostly she is good. Some would call the pub old and rundown - but I like the style. But with my grandmother I would go somewhere else. At peak times often difficult to find a place for more like 2-3 people.

Place is ok for students. Not too expensive. Don't expect food or high comfort. Place has unique interior, but everyone has to decide on its own wether he likes it or not. Restrooms are okay. Place is in the backyard, so no windows or nice fiews. But the staff is very nice.

The back house with its unique atmosphere and the almost incredible beer selection is a real treat every time. The extremely friendly wait staff complete the fantastic overall picture. If you want to experience a special highlight, you should not miss the regulars' table on Tuesday!

50 different beers. If your in Erlangen to taste some of the 150 different local beers then this place is perfect.
